Saturday 16th November - SGS SOCIAL 18 HOLE TOURNAMENT - AL ZORAH

What a great day for 18 of our SGS members, so many great things have been said about Al Zorah before arriving and they weren't wrong.

We arrived to a warm welcome at the front desk with a team of smiles and very professional check-in and some branded Al Zorah golf items to complete the great start to the day.

Once everyone was ready we headed to the range to dust of the bad shots and have our traditional group photo.

The first tee was 12.10pm with the sun shining, but as the first team made to the first green the weather took a turn for a worse, out of nowhere was a sandstorm, with concerns over how long this would last everyone kept pushing through. About 5 holes in the sun came through and we were back in business.

The round was a pleasure and the course certainly lived up to its quality and pressure points.

We played stableford rules and we had a number of competition holes on the way round to.

The winners of the day were as follows.

* NEAREST THE PIN HOLE 15 - KARL MCMULLAN - SPONSORED BY EGOLF AND WINNING A CHIPPING NET
* LONGEST DRIVE HOLE 6 - KARL MCMULLAN - WINNING A ROUND AT AL ZORAH

ROUND RESULTS

* 1ST PLACE - KARL MCMULLAN - 39 POINTS
* 2ND PLACE - CRAIG DEACON - 38 POINTS
* 3RD PLACE - JOEL DEIGHTON - 36 POINTS

A great day all round and well done to our winners of the day.
